It all started in the most unexpected way. There I was, just doing my job, wiping down trays at McDonald's, when this cute, determined girl walked up to me. She was relentless, making sure she caught my attention. And well... as you can see, she succeeded and made a lasting impression. Like many young love stories, we drifted apart—teenage reasons, misunderstandings, and life pulling us in different directions. But I guess the universe, or maybe God, had a plan for us all along. It took us nearly 32 years to find our way back to each other, and only God knows why. But as the song says, God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you. We’ve both faced our share of heartache, hardship, and life’s hardest knocks. Through it all, we managed to hold onto hope. We never imagined we’d be here after all these years, but neither of us ever forgot the other. If you believe in fate, fate always knew we’d end up here. No matter how tough life gets, how often we get lost in our thoughts, or how the tragedies that led us back to each other have shaped us, we know we always have each other to lean on and lift each other back up. People often wonder why relationships never worked out for them and if maybe they are the problem. But when you find your penguin/unicorn, you finally understand why it never worked with anyone else. We are both full of faults and imperfections, but that’s what makes us the perfect, imperfect pair. What a journey it has been to find our way back to each other, and we wouldn’t want to share this adventure with anyone else. This is my son-in-law, and I couldn’t have asked for a better man to marry my precious daughter and be the father to the first grandchild on my side of the family. His constant quoting of scripture and the way he leads his life is truly remarkable — an example we should all aspire to. I’m honored to have him join our family and stand by my side on this special day. Wishing them both a lifetime of love and happiness!

This is my daughter, and there’s no one else I’d want standing beside me on my wedding day. Well, honey, I guess your time raising me is officially over — Becky’s taking over that job now, especially since you’ve got your own baby to raise instead of this man-child you’ve been stuck with all your life! Having you here makes this moment even more special (and just a little more emotional).

Victoria Kaitlyn, you are so much more than I could ever put into words — and far more than I ever deserved. Saying I’m proud of you is the biggest understatement there is. I love you beyond measure.

The wild card — you never quite know what he’s going to say or do, but it’s always memorable. The Outlaw keeps things unpredictable, keeps us laughing, and brings the party wherever he goes. He’s also been a dear friend for so long that when I need something a little shady done… he’s the one I call. I should have known we’d be thicker than thieves when we discovered we share the same middle name — even though that’s the name he goes by.

But my favorite memory? The night ol’ Brandon came running down the hall wearing nothing but cowboy boots and a big sombrero, yelling:
“Hey Romeo, let’s go down to Mexico, chase señoritas, drink ourselves silly, and show those Mexican girls a couple real hillbillies!”
And for the record — it was your idea, genius. I was just lying there in bed.

Brandon Clark – The Outlaw

Always there to have my back. Naturally, he had to be here to make sure she’s treating me right… otherwise, The Enforcer might have to come out of retirement and do some work! 😉 And yes, he still answers Jason with, “Yes, my Tribal Chief.” He’s the guy you want in your corner during a bar fight — or at least when you need someone to glare across the room until the other guy rethinks his life choices.

Joey Newton– The Enforcer

One of my dearest and oldest friends — the kind of ride-or-die who’s been through every chapter with me. The legendary older brother of WWE superstar Otis and the oldest of us all, Meaty has been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember. We talk on the phone like two old women gossiping for hours, and I honestly can’t imagine my life without him.

Favorite memory? Too many to count. There was the late-night kitchen raid at our old job — he swears he doesn’t remember — where he left with 18 to-go boxes of chicken wings. The next morning, he calls and asks if he came by… my response? “What do you think?” Then there’s liar’s poker, countless stories from the office, and the nights in the DJ booth at Have a Nice Day Café. And of course, Meaty being such a nice guy he used popcorn butter to free a friend stuck in the turnstile at the Richmond Coliseum. Truth is, we’ve probably forgotten more than we remember — and that’s saying something. Having him here isn’t just special, it’s legendary — he’s a true original.

Steve "Meaty" Linkous– The Lifelong Legend

She’s my daughter, my partner-in-crime, and my forever sidekick — but if you ask her, she’ll say she raised us all and that it prepared her for motherhood, because raising a child couldn’t possibly be as bad as raising us. And she’ll be the first to tell you I still sometimes spell her name wrong — my own fault for choosing the “weird” spelling to make her unique. But she’s been one-of-a-kind from day one, no matter how her name is spelled. Truth be told, we still don’t listen to her “always right” advice. There’s no one else I’d rather have keeping me calm, making me laugh, and fixing my veil on this big day! I love you Madelyne Hope!

I couldn’t have asked for a better man to be my son-in-law and the loving father to the first grandchild on my side of the family. Kyle is a man’s man — strong, steady, and dependable — and has been a constant source of love, support, and laughter. It means the world to have him not only as my Man of Honor but also walking me down the aisle on this special day.

At just 2 years old, she’s the coolest little cat we know — and let’s be honest, she’ll probably steal the spotlight (and our hearts) the moment she steps down the aisle. Our first grandchild, our little ray of sunshine, and the life of the party in a pint-sized package.

Willow Rae - The Scene Stealer

This girl brings the party wherever she goes! She’s been hyping me up since day one, and I know she’s ready to tear up the dance floor after the “I do’s.” She also didn’t judge me after I lost the fight to the fridge on that fateful SummerSlam night — now that’s true friendship.

She knows all my secrets — the kind that make her blush — and still decided to be in my wedding. Now that’s love!

She’s my chaos coordinator, my comedic relief, and the one who will definitely have snacks stashed somewhere in her bouquet.

What can I say? “Preacher William,” as my dad always called him, has been there for my family and me through… well, everything.
