What’s the dress code?

Casual — but make it wedding nice. No jeans or T-shirts, please. Think sundresses, khakis, button-downs, or anything you’d wear to a nice dinner out.

When and where is the ceremony?

Our ceremony will take place on October 4, 2025, at 3:00 PM, outside the Powhatan Dining Hall in Pocahontas State Park (Chesterfield, VA). The celebration will continue right after with our reception inside the hall.

Is the bouquet toss happening? Should I stretch first?

Yes, and yes — we don’t want any pulled muscles!

Should I bring my dancing shoes?

Absolutely — DJ YNOT is ready, and so are we.

What Time Should Guests Arrive?

Please arrive 20–30 minutes early to park, find your seat, and settle in before the ceremony begins.

Is Parking Available?

Yes! There’s plenty of parking right at the venue.

Who’s in the Wedding Party?

Check out the “Wedding Party” section for bios, fun facts, and maybe even a few inside jokes.

What Are You Most Excited for on Your Wedding Day?

At last — after 32 years, and with Jason being my grandma’s favorite of everyone (even me!) — we’re finally marrying each other and celebrating surrounded by our favorite people.

Will the Flower Girl Behave or Steal the Show?

She’s 2 — so adorable chaos is pretty much guaranteed.

What’s on the Menu?

The finest barbecue feast, catered by Deep Run Roadhouse — so come hungry and ready to enjoy some seriously delicious food!

Will There Be an Open Bar?

Yes! We’ll be serving beer, wine, and liquor — stocked with help from our friends and family. Instead of traditional showers or bachelor/bachelorette parties, we’re hosting a Stock the Bar Party, where you bring your favorite beer, wine, or liquor to share. That way, when the big day arrives, we’ll be toasting with the drinks we know you love most. (P.S. The stocking happens before the wedding, so we’re ready to pour as soon as the party starts!)

Are Kids Welcome?

We love your little ones and would be delighted to have them at the ceremony. For the reception, we’re planning an adult-focused celebration with a bar and a lively atmosphere, so we kindly request it be a kid-free evening. We hope you enjoy a fun night out!

Who’s Most Likely to Cry First — the Bride or Groom?

Chances are… both of us.

Can I Request a Song from the DJ?

Sure — but run it by us first so we can pass it to the DJ. He’s got a killer set list lined up, heavy on the classics we all know and love. No mumble rap, no explicit lyrics — just the kind of music that keeps the dance floor packed and guests of all ages happy.

Who Proposed and How?

Jason completely surprised me at the world-famous Caddy’s Karaoke Bar while singing I Cross My Heart by George Strait. It caught me completely off guard, brought me to tears, and of course… I said yes!

How Did You Two Meet?

We met as teenagers while working at McDonald’s. Jason was the shy guy wiping down trays, and I was determined to get his attention. As you can see, I did — and I must have made a lasting impression, because after all these years, at last, here we are.

Are you registered anywhere or is there something you’d like?

We’re not registered — after combining our homes, we found we already have two of almost everything (and trust us, no one needs that many coffee mugs). Many of those extras are being donated to new homes where they’re needed. If you’d like to give a gift, we’ve set up a Fences & Forever Fund under the “Registry” tab to help with wedding costs and some outdoor projects we can’t wait to tackle together. Your love and presence truly mean the most to us! 💕
