It all started in the most unexpected way. There I was, just doing my job, wiping down trays at McDonald's, when this cute, determined girl walked up to me. She was relentless, making sure she caught my attention. And well... as you can see, she succeeded and made a lasting impression.

Like many young love stories, we drifted apart—teenage reasons, misunderstandings, and life pulling us in different directions. But I guess the universe, or maybe God, had a plan for us all along. It took us nearly 32 years to find our way back to each other, and only God knows why. But as the song says, God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you.

We’ve both faced our share of heartache, hardship, and life’s hardest knocks. Through it all, we managed to hold onto hope. We never imagined we’d be here after all these years, but neither of us ever forgot the other. If you believe in fate, fate always knew we’d end up here. No matter how tough life gets, how often we get lost in our thoughts, or how the tragedies that led us back to each other have shaped us, we know we always have each other to lean on and lift each other back up.

People often wonder why relationships never worked out for them and if maybe they are the problem. But when you find your penguin/unicorn, you finally understand why it never worked with anyone else.

We are both full of faults and imperfections, but that’s what makes us the perfect, imperfect pair. What a journey it has been to find our way back to each other, and we wouldn’t want to share this adventure with anyone else. And as we’ve learned, nobody but us would ever put up with the other anyway.
